Trying to post weekly links, but my travel schedule has made it difficult. Nevertheless, here are some important things I’ve found in the last week.
Windows Phone
NFC Library for Proximity APIs in Widows 8 and Windows Phone 8 – looks promising. I can’t vouch for it myself, but I plan to look into it.
Windows Phone 7.5 – Manipulating the Camera Stream – I’ve been told that there is a better way of working with the camera stream data than this, but it seemed cool to me.
Nokia Ad Exchange – Another way to implement ads into your Windows Phone application. Don’t forget Microsoft’s extremely simple Ad Control as well.
Nokia Developer Windows Phone 8 articles – some great stuff from Nokia on developing for Windows Phone 8. Bookmark it and use it when you’re starting an app or looking for a solution.
Facebook C# (Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 support) – The standard for Facebook integration in C# has been updated to support Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.
Windows Phone 7 Training Kit – Old, but some great labs if you’re just starting out on Windows Phone
Windows Phone 7.5 Training Kit – Focuses on the updates in Windows Phone Mango. Yes, older information, but if Windows Phone 8 is inspiring you to develop for Windows Phone, the answers to many of your questions can be found here. Plus I like using labs… something about that structured education appeals to me when I’m just getting started with something.
Windows 8
Windows 8 Design Handbook – Simple explanations of designing for Windows 8. Many of the lessons translate to Windows Phone as well.
